Hi all,
Tech potato here so bare with me, recently a friend put together a pc build for me to start recording/streaming my gaming addiction, pc is working fine but in the main games I play I can't get more than 80-90 fps despite cpu/gpu usage not breaking 50% or higher than 60c.
My specs:
CPU - Ryzen 7 3800x 8 core
GPU - Zotac RTX 3080
MOBO - MSI b450 Tomahawk Max
RAM - Corsair Vengeance 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 3600MHz
Monitor - Acer Predator XB273UGS 27" 2560x1440 165Hz
The main game I play is Black Desert Online, I have seen people with worse cards/cpus get over 150-200+ in main areas on higher graphics. I only play on mid-high as I prefer the look, but even playing on lowest settings I only get up to 100-110 fps which seems strange. I have turned vsync off ingame and in nvida control panel, tried numerous things posted on the bdo subreddit via a huge fps increase mega thread, but to no avail.
If anyone could help me figure out what is wrong, would greatly appreciate it. But I'll say it again, I am a tech potato, so some things that might seem obvious to you very likely aren't to me!
