I'm due for a major upgrade.
I want to build a PC and use it for 5-6 years before upgrading.
Not gonna swap out parts as soon as new hardware comes on the market.

My current build dates from 2014.
  • Intel i7 4770k
  • Gigabyte GA-Z97X-Gaming 3
  • Gigabyte GV-R929OC-4GD
  • Corsair 12800 (1600) ram 4 x 4gb
I was tinkering about and was considering the following.
  • Ryzen 9 3900x or 3700 or 3600
  • Asus or Gigabyte MB
  • Nvidia RTX 2080ti
  • 16 gigs of DDR 4
What is your take on those new Nvidia 2060 super and 2070 super cards?

* My apologies for my spelling and grammar, English is not my 1st language.

The 3900x will definitely last you longer, with regards to future multicore gaming support, so I would go with that, if you have the budget. I am liking Gigabyte, for x570 boards, so far. I have the X570 Aorus ITX, myself. The 2070 super is a great card, and really close to a regular 2080, in performance. I would choose a Radeon 5700, over a 2060 super. The 5700xt is another good option. Much depends on budget. I would make sure that ram is at least 3200 speed.
