Question New PC Build - Monitor Remains Black

I built an all new PC with all new components, with the exception of monitors. After putting the PC together and powering it on, my monitor is blank, just a black screen. There are no messages being displayed. Doesn’t even show BIOS and there are no beeps indicating an issue.

The monitors and HDMI cables work. I have tested them and use them for work all day.

I removed the GPU and used the integrated display on the motherboard, still the same issue.

When I apply power, the fans come on. The lights on the motherboard come on, the mouse and keyboard light up.

From what I can determine, I either have a bad motherboard, CPU, or RAM.

I don't have any spare parts to test with, so I am thinking of going out and buying a cheap motherboard and RAM to see if these are the issues. Before I spend any additional money, I wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas to try.

In particular when I look at the motherboard specs it states this for RAM compatibility:
  1. DDR4 5100+ / 5000 / 4866 / 4800 / 4733 / 4600 / 4533 / 4400 / 4266 / 4133 / 4000 / 3866 / 3733 / 3600 / 3466 / 3200 / 3066 / 3000 / 2933 / 2800 / 2667 (by A-XMP OC MODE)
  2. DDR4 3200 / 3066 / 3000 / 2933 / 2800 / 2667 / 2400 / 2133 / 1866 (by JEDEC)

The RAM I bought fits into the A-XMP OC mode. From my understanding this mode can only be enabled in BIOS, which I can't see because my monitor will not turn on.

Could my issue be as simple as getting a RAM stick from option 2 (JEDEC)?

What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? It should be mentioned on the stickers around the motherboard.

If you can't verify the BIOS version,
https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MAGB550TOMAHAWK.pdf
your motherboard has a Flash BIOS button on the rear of your motherboard, use that in conjunction with steps mentioned in your manual, page 35.

You won't get display out from your motherboard since your processor lacks an iGPU. You're going to need a discrete GPU.

You forgot to mention the make and model of your PSU. If it's an unit recycled from an older build, mention it's age.
