Question New pc build monitor turns off

msi b450 tomahawk max
zotac geforce gtx 1650super
vengeance lpx ddr4 2x8GB
evga 500 bq

I just finished building this PC last week, and everything seemed to work. But yesterday I tried playing games (halo), and the monitor just turned off on me. I turned it back on and continued playing for about 30 seconds before the monitor turned off again. I repeated this process like 10 times.
Then today when i booted up my computer, the monitor stayed black and the keyboard/mouse did not connect. Any thoughts?

I have tried a different monitor and cables.

test with another psu?

I don't have any spare parts. So would that be the first step? or are there other things I can try before I buy/replace parts?

test with 1 stick of ram? recheck all cables, reseat all component.

I reseated all the components and tested 1 and 2 sticks of ram. Got the same results as before.

right after i hit send on that last message, my screen went black for 5 seconds then came back. This is different than what it has been doing, but I suspect the problems are related?

Edit: When this happened I noticed "focus assist" was flashing? not sure what that even is, but I disabled it and was actually able to complete a mission without any issues. This may have been my issue all along, i will have to test it more later.
