I have just built a computer, finally got the liquid cooling built and bled, went to turn on and all i get is a flash of light from the LEDs on all of the accessories. The mothorboard lights work, but nothing else. After the flash, if I try to start it again I have to switch off the power supply until the motherboard lights turn off, then I switch it back on and can try again, but still just a flash and nothing.

MSI x370 titanium
ryzen 1800x
1080
2 corsair 8gb 3200

I cant really do the remove everything and go one component at a time because it is a hardline liquid cooling setup, so it is not that simple to do.

tried CMOS reset, both ram sticks individually. When i tried unplugging the 8pin CPU power cords the flash still happened, so I dont think it is a problem with CPU power. The diagnostic LED screen never lights up.

"Built & Bled" I think he means all the ionised water into the closed loop, and all air bubbles removed from it.

Unfortunately it sounds like you are going to have to drain your water cooling and troubleshoot your motherboard fully. One component at a time. It would appear that this is your only option at this point.

In hindsight, if you didn't already do this... you should have "breadboarded" your motherboard first outside of the case, to ensure that it wasn't DOA. It could be shorting out if you haven't mounted it correctly on the mobo standoffs. The CPU could not be fully seated in the socket. any amount of simple things can cause it not to boot.

If you can at least disconnect everything bar the RAM, CPU, and an OS...

If you can at least disconnect everything bar the RAM, CPU, and an OS drive.....see if it will post, to rule out additional component faults or power faults. Other than that, I'm afraid you're going ot have to disassemble the system again.

Best of luck. I hope you figure it out, because that is annoying! :(
