Hey everybody,

I just finished building my first gaming rig (first build ever), and when I boot up there is no display on my screen.

The specs are.

Intel core i7 6700k
Msi GTX 1080 Gaming X
Msi Bazooka plus B150 motherboard (M-ATX) 2333mhz
Tp link wireless card
ThermalTake Low profile CPU cooler.
EVGA Supernova 750w Gold 80+ PSU
16GB (4x4gb) Corsair Dominator 2800mhz RAM
2TB WD Blue Hdd 7200rpm
Aerocool strike X MATX cube case

Everything has been wired up correctly, powers up with fans spinning, I have tried a CMOS reboot to no avail, and also the 30 second power button push with no power then reboot also to no avail.

I'm using my Motherboard HDMI output instead of my graphics card (I also tried vice versa). I have tried a 'bare' boot up without any peripherals also to no avail.

I may have fried my motherboard but I don't think so.

I also have no money at the moment so solutions need to be as cheap as possible. Thank you all.

Hey Zkenn24,

Looks like a solid build.

Do the fans stay fired up full speed? Or do they calm down after a few seconds?

I recommend that you try pulling out all RAM except one, and rotate and just double check that those are all prompting the same result or not.

Does your motherboard have a diagnostic led area on the board anywhere?

You dont have access to any other parts laying around?

Fans fire up to full speed except gpu because that it what it does when there is no load. One ram stick doesn't work so far, I do have diagnostic leds on the motherboard. During bootup only the dram led comes on then goes off and no more leds come on. I don't happen to have any spare parts sorry.

Thanks for the quick reply.

What error code prompts on the motherboard? Your fans staying at full speed indicates something for sure; Can you reseat your CPU and double check the pins are not bent? Have you tried unplugging all power to everything other than the motherboard?

CPU is lined up properly and no pins are bent, motherboard prompts no error. CPU cooler and case fans always spinning. I will try unplugging all other power except to motherboard

Depending on what version BIOS that motherboard came with, I am almost certain you need to update the BIOS in order to get that CPU working.

Do you have a friend or relative that may have a older 1151 socket CPU you could insert to get it to POST and do the BIOS update? I would also see if you could contact the manufacture and see what options are available.
