Hello everyone,

My new pc build today arrived (everything except gpu because I am still raising money for one), and everything was fine until I finished building it, and then the problem arrived when I tested it.

So, more specifically, my most-important-for-my-issue specs are an AMD A10 7700K, 8GB RAM 1866Mhz and a Gigabyte F2A68HM-DS2 I would also like to say that I used a PSU from my old PC, a 450W one, because it is enough I think for this build at the moment.

I also got a new case (if this matters), the Aerocool GT White edition which has LEDs at the side and a LED fan in front.

So, when I press the power button, all the LEDs come on trembling and all the fans work too (including the CPU one), and maybe the whole system is working too, but I am not so sure. There is no display. When I release the power button, all the LEDs shut down, the fans stop and the system is dead again. So all these I said (LEDs and fans) work for as long as I have the power button pressed, and as far as I can tell they dont work at their 100% either.

I am pretty sure I have everything connected correctly.

I would also like to note here that my Mobo has an 8 pin connector for the CPU power, but my PSU has a 4 pin for that, so I use the 4 out of 8 pins, but as far as I heard this is fine.

If you need any other information, please tell me.

Thank you.

8 pin connector for the CPU power
1 GND (Only for 2x4-pin 12V) 5 +12V (Only for 2x4-pin 12V)
2 GND (Only for 2x4-pin 12V) 6 +12V (Only for 2x4-pin 12V)
3 GND 7 +12V
4 GND 8 +12V

To meet expansion requirements, it is recommended that a power supply that can withstand high power consumption be used (500W or greater). If a power supply is used that does not provide the required power, the result can lead to an unstable or unbootable system

So a new PSU with more Watts and 8 pin for the CPU power would resolve my problem?
