cpu cooler and mobo i def look at but the case not sure was thinking about the thermaltake lvl 10 gt also

Better CPU cooler, better mobo, better (also less, but 16GB is not needed) RAM, better DVD-drive, and a better PSU:

Also, Windows 8 is somewhat faster (kernel optimisations and stuff) and is easily made windows 7-y. I'd still recommend dropping 8 GB ram and the 290X to a 290 (better value) to get an i5.
EDIT: finished editing your build

Dont be a smartass. We are trying to help here. Why would he buy a $500 motherboard? Stop trying to troll.

ok guys i prob should have said this i already have the roswill psu i bought from a friend also the optical drive and 500gb hdd. after those i have 1400 max spending left and why intel if you dont mind me asking.

Yeah, the H100i is a good option. I only suggested that case because you had a full tower in the original build, but the 750D was cheaper :)

They say Intel because most benchmarks show Intel performing better in games. What a ton of Intel fanboys forget is that, yes, Intel does get better performance, but the AMD CPU is still not bottle necking enough to make the gaming experience bad.

Yes, i have an i7. But i also have an FX 6300. Both consistently push 60 FPS+ in BF4 with my GTX 760.

yeah def going with the h100i what kind of liquid do they use never had liquid cooling?

Intel because of the upgradability and the recent releases from their enthusiast range (devil's canyon and G3258)

If not the i5 4690k then the G3258

Well get another 500 GB hdd and RAID them
EDIT: edit done

makes sense ive just always went amd because it was in my first build really have nothing against either one

Not with these new Devil's canyon chips (really should have just gone with a cheaper cooler too)
If you want good overclocking, the G3258 will beat FXs in most games (and you can drop in a Broadwell next year)

i hate to bumbard with questions but will the r9290x run any game maxed out and if the r9290 can do aswell becasue the price is a good bit diff but on gpuboss 290 got and 8.4 and 290x got an 8.6

The 290 and 290X have quite similar performance, which is why I said the 290 is better value
