Hi All,

I am looking to build a new budget PC which should last me for around 4-5 years. I have a GTX 750 ti, Samsung EVO 256gb SSD & 1400x900 75hz monitor lying around from my old PC (xeon x3440 & h55 mobo).
Since I am on a budget and GPU prices are extra ordinarily high right now, Ill be adding a new GPU and monitor after 7-8 months when things go back to normal.

My plan is to upgrade to a:
b560 motherboard
8gb ddr4 ram
550 watts PSU

The problem is with the CPU. I am confused between the i3 10100f(105$) & i5 10400f(175$). I have gone through many threads for the same to make a decision but the price difference in my country is so significant along with my tight budget which is causing me great confusion.
Is it worth putting 70 dollars more in an i5. I can get a good motherboard in that price. This PC will majorly be used only for gaming and specifically FPS games (PUBG) on a 1080p monitor and maybe some streaming. The gpu I am planning to upgrade is going to be either a 1660 super or rtx 2060.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

yes aslong as you need more cores and thread. Make sure atleast go for B560M Pro4 or Steel Legend (which is more better). Get a quality 550w psu.

What you already know.
The I5 will give you a little more cpu muscle.
Is it worth an extra 70 bucks?.........only you and the budget can answer that.

IF you plan on gaming any at all in the upcoming 'x' amount of years you will own the system, I'd definitely foot the bill for the extra $75 cost for the i5-11400....

You are right but my budget constraints are not allowing me to do the same. Ill have to give up on a good mobo and ram if I do that.
Thanks for the input.
