Question New pc build suggestions

You want 2x16GB of RAM, not 2x8GB.
I am building with 16gb of ram... not 32. 16gb is enough for my use case... If I have problems it is a easy upgrade but I've used 16 in all my systems without a issue. Its not helpful as you are simply dodging the previous questions to recommend getting 32gb of ram. As I said above 16gb is included with the bundle.

Looks ok, I have no idea why would you go with a 12th gen intel CPU in 2024.
I'm guessing the price of it in microcenter is better?

I would avoid KF/F chips, no igpu on them, but if its part of the bundle then no much to do.

If I were to build a gaming PC right now, I would probably pick an AM5 Ryzen X3D chip instead.

In any case, no clue what will you do with the system, no much more to add without that information.

its mainly because of compatibility issues. they have a 7800x3d bundle for $480 but people have complained about ram compatibility issues with the gigabyte motherboard. https://www.microcenter.com/product...ies-32gb-ddr5-6000-kit,-computer-build-bundle

This was the build I planned on doing: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/ydBwQP

Probably an old BIOS (old motherboard stock) that need it update before enabling EXPO.

Sometimes fine tuning takes time and not evertyhing work well out of the box, and this could happend to AMD or INTEL. My AMD Ryzen 5 3600 experience the first month was not amazing, I got an aftermarket cooler to use it for heavy tasks, after a few BIOS (microcode) udpates from AMD, I could run the same heavy task with the stock cooler no performance penalties and without heat going crazy high. Still working on a secondary PC today.

In any case any 12th gen core i5 is stila decent CPU performer, not comparable to a 5800 X3d or higher, but still decent.

And yeah the intel mobo in your first post seems way more high end than the one included in the AMD combo.

Ok I can get this for $1400 by bundling the processor and ram. https://pcpartpicker.com/list/7xjNh3

Will I need to flash bios to use these components with my board?

That is a bit more forward looking. I don't believe a BIOS flash will be necessary for operation, but you should still get the latest BIOS.
Cool thanks!!! if worse come to worse, how will I know I need to use M-Flash and can I do if ive already put the system together.

Well, one thing to know with AM5 is that the first boot can take several minutes. But if say after 10 minutes it doesn't, then updating the BIOS may be needed.

Yes, you can use the M-flash with an assembled system.

You could also get Microcenter to do it before you leave if you wanted. They charge $30, but maybe they would waive this as part of the bundle purchase. After all, they should be verifying that it works out of the box before selling it.

Cool thanks for the help I will probably be building this weekend. My main concern is if bios was out of date I would get 0 signs of life. Thanks for clearing up everything

Seems like good build, but you now changed the GPU.

Keep in mind the RTX 4070 TI Super from your first post should give you more native performance, and more with RT enable.

Then again the X3D chip and the AM5 platform should last you longer, and allow you to update both CPU and GPU in the future.

The choice is yours: 12th gen Core i5 + a powerfull GPU, or a powerfull gaming cpu 7800X3D + a decent GPU.

Whatever you pick I hope you enjoy it and have fun!
