Hi guys,

I'm looking to build a new pc.

Still looking for a video card to throw in. Couldn't find a decent white one.

Question: Will the Deepcool cpu cooler i have listed be suitable? It looks like i would need to attach the radiator to the front of the case and curious if that would work and if it would reach ok?

My list will probably need to be tweeked to as i'm not the best at picking the best build :(

Solution

Yeah but on that kind of budget I'd prepare it for SLI especially running 3 monitors.

I would suggest this as a system minus the accessories:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i7-6700K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor ($345.99 @ B&H)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG H5 Universal 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($56.64 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Z170-A ATX LGA1151 Motherboard ($150.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2400 Memory ($85.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5"...

This isn't a budget pc :D LOL

I'm going for a good pc to last me a while and have it look solid (white / black)

1. I wouldn't worry about the case fans because your case should come with plenty to start with. You can always add those later and NZXT's built in fan controller on the S340 makes it really easy to add more as you need them.

2. Not necessarily. For your uses if you're going to be doing some heavy duty audio recording / production then having the fastest SSD you can will help to dramatically reduce load times. The M2s and especially Samsung NVMe is some of the best you can get for the money right now. I have that same drive in my system and it runs great.

Just snagged the GTX 1080 FTW.

Question - now that i'm adding all the stuff to the carts, I found this :
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820156083&ignorebbr=1

Will I notice a significant difference in performance from this:

Just trying to go with a more themed base build. And the ram matches nearly perfectly.

Thanks!

I will press the checkout button when I hear back from someone with a reasonable opinion/suggestion :D

WEEEEEEEE New PC time!

I think that's the 1070 that Newegg has in stock, I haven't seen any 1080s come in and I'm trying to get one for my rig but have been having no luck.

I'd go for the Crucial RAM if its' available in DDR4-3000.

The Corsair Vengeance LPX RAM sticks are a much better looking white by the way. Also a Asus Dual GTX .... would be great for a white build. There is also a GPU called Hall Of Fame. Not available in my area though. Also a Corsair H100i v2 or GTX is probably the best AIO liquid 240mm on the market.
