Hello everyone,

I've recently assembled a new PC, but I'm facing some challenging internet issues. Here's the link to my build for reference: My PC Build.

Issue:My main problem is with internet connectivity, especially when playing games. On my new desktop, I experience extreme lag spikes (ping goes over 4000 ms) and eventual disconnection. This is in stark contrast to my laptop (i7 with an Nvidia GPU), which is right next to the desktop and runs the same games smoothly at 84 ms.

Additional Details:

  • I'm also encountering what I describe as "rubberbanding" — the connection is slow, briefly speeds up, and then slows down again.
  • Speed test results on the laptop show a much better performance with 142 Mbps download and 4.55 Mbps upload, compared to the new PC's 11.9 Mbps download and 0.077 Mbps upload.
  • All drivers on the new PC have been updated.
Given that the desktop is brand new, I'm puzzled as to why these network problems are occurring. Could this be a hardware issue, or perhaps a setting that I've overlooked?

I would greatly appreciate any insights or suggestions on how to resolve these connectivity issues.

Thanks in advance for your assistance!
