Question New PC build won't detect m.2 in bios

Just built a new PC and have been having issues with it, can't seem to get the bios to detect my m.2 to install windows on. Have tried playing with the bios settings with no success, turning off VMD and enabling Intel rapid technology. Originally I had the m.2 installed in the m.2_1 slot but moved it to the m.2_2 slot after reading it helps with bus performance, with no difference in the results before or after as far as detection goes. Any helps would be appreciated.

Build:
Asus ROG strix z690-e
Intel i9-13900k
32 gb Corsair vengeance
Samsung 980 pro nvme pci4.0
EVGA GeForce 3080
Corsair rm750 power supply

No windows on it no, whenever I try to run windows I can't get the installer to detect the drive. I've tried installing drivers for it although they might not have been the correct ones cause I had to check off the box saying look for outdated drives.

Sounds like you don't have the drive inserted correctly or a bad drive (not likely). Be sure the M2 drive is inserted correctly and it dont' wiggle out if installing heatsinks.

Then go into the BIOS and make sure BIOS sees it before installing windows.

In my experience these drives are just plug and play off the races.
