OK so everything has been fine all weekend whilst building my machine. I had it all working and setup in my room last night and it was fine as I shut it down. But this morning when I tried to turn it on I got message:
Bootmgr is missing Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart
I can't seem to fix this, I try to put in the windows 7 disk to do repair but that won't let me. I get message:
This version of system recovery options is not compatible with the version of windows you are trying to repair. Try using a recovery disc that is compatible with this version of windows.
My new system is:
MSI X99s Gaming 7
Intel i7 5820k
16GB Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2800MHz
MSI GTX 970
Samsung Evo 850 500GB (OS Drive)
The only different thing I did last night as plug in a WD 1TB Internal HDD which I formatted when in windows, and then I also have a Samsung 3TB External plugged in with all my backed up files.
I got it to boot once his morning I think that was with the WD 1TB & Samsung 3TB unplugged. But when I reset to plug them both back in, the same issue has come up. I've tried changing the boot priority, I've tried changing the Sata ports as my boards 7-10 are for IDE & AHCI only and 1-6 are for RAID (I'm not too sure what these mean really or if they have anything to do with the issue)
One other thing, when I go into BIOS now, my Samsung SSD, WD HDD, and the DVD drive all come up with '?' question mark icons in the name followed by a number 9 at the end... Not sure why it's doing this. The problem is still occurring when I have my WD 1TB HDD unplugged. Going to reset and unplug the external although I don't see why that should be causing a problem.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. It's my first ever build and this is really frustrating me. Don't want to have to install win7 again and do all those updates and software installs again...

Kuzz
