So I just built my PC. When I plug it in, the led in the integrated power button on the motherboard lights up as well as an LED labeled HW which says that it is a gaming boost or something in the manual. Also the clear cmos button lights up on the back panel. When I press the power button for the pc, I hear a click in the PSU but otherwise nothing happens, and the LEDs I just mentioned stay on. I have tried to use the bios flashback+ feature but it won't work. I tried several other things on the phone with MSI tech support but those also were not successful. All of my parts seem to be compatible, so I am not sure what the problem is. I suspect a faulty MB. Any ideas?

Also, I took the entire thing apart and rebuilt it. Checked all the connections and double checked all of the diagrams in the MB user manual.

Tried starting it up with only cpu, cpu cooler, mb, and psu and 1 stick of ram in the recommended slot and same issue.

MB: MSI MEG z390 ACE
Case: Corsair spec-06
cpu: i7-9700k
ram: corsair vengeance lpx 32gb (2x16gb) 3000mhz
cpu cooler: corsair h100i pro rgb
gpu: msi rtx 2080 sea hawk x 8gb
psu: corsair rm850x (white)
ssd: 1tb Samsung 970 evo nvme m.2
sshd: 2tb Seagate firecuda

Do you have a spare powersupply to test? Can you confirm that you have cleared the CMOS?

I'm pretty sure I don't at the moment but I can look around. As far as CMOS, I tried the clear cmos process per the manual and it didn't seem to do anything. In addition, the tech support guy over the phone had me remove the cmos battery for a minute and try starting it again with no results.

Did your case include a PC speaker? You may be able to get some BIOS beeps. They might tell you something.
