Hi guys, today luckily not posting because there is a problem with my pc or whatever, but just some nice things. :)

I'm planning to build a new PC. (actually, to build my first one)
I've made a list of components i want to put in it.
Here's the link to the PCPartPicker: https://nl.pcpartpicker.com/list/T62Xhy

What do you guys think of the build? Are there components that you would defenitly
not recommend in my build, or components that i could better change.
Also, i am going to keep my videocard (RX 470) and all my storage (2x kingston SSD120GB and
the Toshiba 500GB HHD) to lower the costs.
Do you think there are some components a bit 'overkill'? I'm a bit on a budget
so i don't want to spend 'useless' money.
Do you guys have some tips for my first pc build? Or important things to know?

Hope to hear from you guys :)

-Matthias

mhhh, allright.
what about this:
i have doubts if i buy the 16gb ram, or just 8gb and maybe upgrade it when ram prices are lower.
Not even really sure if i need 16gb ram since i already use 8gb at the moment and doesn't...

Well, the prices from 8400 and a 8500 are very small, only problem is that is pretty hard to get it here without a cooler. i don't want to spend an extra 50€ for a cooler that i'm not going to use since peole say it's pretty bad.

Yeah, i am not going to use it for 4K or something.
i'm just going to grap the 8500 since prices are not a big difference.

Also have my doubts for the motherboard, maybe i could stick with a micro ATX instead of ATX.
and i we are talking now about saving some money, maybe i should take a 500W PSU instead of 650W, but not sure since you can get a 650W for a slightly bit more money.

kind of hard decisions, prices will be a bit lower, but when buying the more expensive things i have more certainty for the future.

What is 50€ more expensive the 8400 or 8500? Also, both of them come with the same exact stock cooler: Intel E97379-003.

8500 is only 10€ more so. i thought i saw a tary version for 50€ less than the boxed one.

lol, not in my country i guess.

i5 8500 with cooler is around 300€ here, is that a good price?
Is the cooler delivered with it good?[/quotemsg]

In my country it is more expensive or similarly priced, as Intel supplies less of them. The cooler is a modest one. Not high performance. It should work for general usage. But if you are going to run full load 24x7, you should get a better aft one. Something like a Cryorig H7, is not too expensive but pretty good.

You still haven't specified what exact make/models of your chosen components. We should be able to provide an estimate pricing/conversion between USD and Euros to see what is worth the money and what is not.

8gb is the bare minimum these days. A couple of chrome tabs can themselves consume quite a high amount of RAM. And if you have a game running along with them, then it would pretty much take most of your 8gb. Not to mention, your pc reserves certain amount of RAM for background operations.
Also, RAM sticks are usually sold in kits due to difference in timing. So if you buy 16gb upfront in a kit, that has more chances of working rather than mixing two different kits down the line.

The motherboard form factor doesnt matter much in terms of performance. You can go with any form factor that you want.
Also the PSU is more than you will need for this build. You can keep it if you have some future upgrades planned or get a 450w/550w.
