Hey guys,
Second time builder here.
Here is the build I am thinking of:
https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/Zsfxfv
Already have a 2TB nvme drive so getting another smaller one. Budget around $2500. Adjusted cpu cooler, ram and motherboard based on suggestions from here. Have been told i7 12700 k may be overkill but after having an underwhelming cpu for the past couple of years I’m ready to be wowed. Saw a 3080 on sale for an extra $150 over my selected 3070 ti last week and will continue looking for more deals to perhaps get a better deal on a 3070ti or a good deal on a 3080. Still open to all suggestions!! Please tell me if you notice anything wrong or weird. Will be building this pc in a month or so.

If I am spending that much, I would choose some better parts overall...

The board in your link doesn't allow for overclocking so no need for an unlocked cpu such as the 12700K nor does the B660 chipset have the bandwidth (PCIe lanes) to run dual M.2 SSD's at their rated speeds. You'd need a Z690 board for that. This board down below for example.

GIGABYTE Z690 Gaming X DDR4 $279.00

Personally I'd stick with your build as is and run a single 2TB M.2 SSD but I'd change up on the cpu to this one down below. This cpu uses less power and produces less heat than the 12700K yet the frames per second are almost identical. Use the money you saved and put it towards your graphics card.

12700 / 12700F gaming benchmarks.
