Hello all,

I am looking to build a new gaming pc. I mostly play COD/D4/WOW and stream. I currently have some disposable income, so I figure it's a good time to spoil myself.

CPU: Intel 13900k
Motherboard: Asus Maximus Z790 Hero
Memory: G Skill Trident Z5 32GB
Storage: Samsung 990 pro 2TB M.2
GPU: Asus Rog Strix 4070Ti
PSU: Unsure
Monitors: I currently have 2 Asus ROG PG279Q and I am looking to add a new monitor, but unsure of which one.

My goal with this build is to achieve 1440p with high FPS and give myself a couple of years without having to upgrade. I'm looking for constructive feedback on what I can improve with this build to achieve my goal/s

Do you already have an SSD for the game files or are you planning to keep the OS and game files both on the same SSD? Probably not the greatest idea because then anytime something happens and you have to reinstall Windows, you will have to start again from scratch with all those game files as well. It would be a good idea to not only have a second SSD for storing your game files, application installer files, personal files that are important like documents, movies, music, pictures, etc., but also to have ANOTHER drive of some kind to keep backups of your Windows installation and important files on because the fact is it is never a question of IF a drive will die, it is only EVER a question of WHEN. So, always good not to put all your eggs in one basket and have multiple stored locations for anything that you'd be heartbroken to lose.

That could be a third internal drive, and external drive, optical disks, cloud storage, whatever. Have something though otherwise you'll be back here down the road asking "how do I recover my data" and the answer will be, without a backup, you don't.

As for the power supply, I can make a recommendation on a good unit for the least investment if that is what you are looking for, or if you offer a budget on what you'd be willing to spend on a power supply I can recommend the best model available within your budget. It would also be helpful to know what country you are in because options are very different from place to place, as is price.

Instead of taking a hit in frame rates while streaming on the same PC you game with why not do it right and run a separate PC for streaming so you don't take that hit in frame rates. That MSI psu has PCIe 5.0 and that case was released less than a year ago and has been names 'case of the year' by multiple tech sites.

^ agree with @Why_Me having a 2nd capture pc is the better way to stream.

but i think you dont need a powerful gpu like the 4060 in the capture pc, the igpu in the 5700G is more than enough.

When it comes to streaming it's tough to beat Nvidia NVENC and these new RTX 40XX series cards are the only ones that support streaming to Youtube, Twitch and Facebook Gaming in all available codecs.

Review of that unit by Aris, probably the most respected PSU reviewer in the business.
