I am quite new to this, and I am getting help from a good friend in what I should be getting. But what I'm wondering is, are these parts compatible with each other? And should I be changing any parts for better Gaming Performance? (I will be playing Battlefield 3, Skyrim, Just cause 2, etc). A quick response would be AMAZING. Thanks!

Standard power supply? Stick with antec, corsair, or ocz if your vender offers one of these. Seasonic is also pretty good, but tends to cost more. 700-850 watts is plenty; get one of the brands I recommended with a total of at least 60 amps on the 12v rail(s).

How much you paying for all that is the question? For a big build like that you would expect a 680 not 580 GPU unless theres a significant saving in getting the 580

Won't run without an operating system.

Quality of PSU choice needs to be investigated.


GigaByte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68 mother boards PCI Express 3.0 x16 graphic card slots 1 is x16, 1 is x4. Could be an issue in dual graphics card future setup. Although they are 3.0 slots so it's not a huge issue.

You shouldn't need this:

This is something you can learn to do yourself. Plenty of help in the Overclocking section of the forum.

I'm notta fan of the $5 gaming mouse and $8 keyboard

I'm also kinda suspicious about those $15 600Watts PMPO Subwoofer Stereo Speakers.

That looks like a cyberpower.com build. I've read soooo many posts from people getting borked up PCs from them. What's your budget? You can play BF3 on ultra for under a grand and have fun building it yourself.

First, to add to what catatafish has said, I moderate on another board, and we have seen far too many complaints with CyberPower to recommend them. The Power supply is over kill. Even with a pair of 580's in there an 850 would be plenty. Unless you are doing something memory intensive such as Video editing, you shouldn't need more than 8 Gb. You have the Hyper 212 Evo on your list, what are you water cooling? Don't think you really need it if you have good air flow and Know that case does as I am using one myself.

The build price just went up to about $1400 now, because of the sales that frequently change. But I'm wondering Catafish, I would LOVE to keep it under a grand, that was originally my budget. But what parts would I get?? ;D

But I've now changed my mind on this buy, I am now wanting to just simply build it myself. In attempt to keep it under a grand, and still be able to get it to run Battlefield 3
