Hey all! So I purchased a prebuilt gaming PC off Origin PC back around January and heavily regretting it as their support has been absolutely terrible. I’ve even already had the machine sent across the country for “repair” and it has fixed absolutely nothing.

⚙️ Here are the specs:
-Processor: Intel Core i9-12900K 16-Cores 3.2GHz (5.2GHz TurboBoost)
-Motherboard: MSI MPG Z690 FORCE WiFi DDR5
-Memory: 32GB CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM RGB DDR5 (2x16GB) DDR5 4800MHz
-System Cooling: iCUE H100i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler
-Graphics Cards: NVIDIA 8GB GeForce RTX 3070 Ti
-Operating System: MS Windows 11 Pro
-Operating System Drive: 1920GB Force MP510 NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD
-Hard Drive: 2TB Samsung 870 QVO Series
-Power Supply: CORSAIR RM850x SERIES PLUS GOLD PSU

So far my friends/family and I are all at a complete loss of words/what to do because for 5 months now I’ve been getting completely random BSOD’s/freezes and we’ve tried everything.

So far we have:
✅Updated all drivers
✅Reinstalled Windows 11 Pro (at least 5 times)
✅Ran memory checks (which all say the passed)
✅All hardware checks passed
✅Sent it to Origin themselves who claimed “everything is working with flying colors”
✅Running it with one stick of RAM
✅Turned off XMP in the BIOS
✅Updated the BIOS

**The most recent event was this morning where it was blue screening with IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL to the point where if you click the power button, the screen stays black and doesn’t post. But as soon as I took out the RAM in slot 4 (so only had 16 gb in slot 2) it would at least boot.

List of all BSOD codes I have received over the past 5 months at complete random, sometimes while running nothing and just sitting on the desktop:

IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL (I’ve received this significantly more than the others)
DRIVER _IRQL_NOT LESS OR EQUAL
KMODE_EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
UNEXPECTED KERNEL MODE TRAP
SYSTEM _SERVICE EXCEPTION
SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED
ATTEMPTED EXECUTE_OF_ NOEXECUTE MEMORY
KERNEL_SECURITY_CHECK_FAILURE
CRITICAL PROCESS DIED
PROCESS1 INITIALIZATION FAILED
VIDEO SCHEDULER INTERNAL ERROR
PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA
MEMORY_MANAGEMENT
So yea.. you can start to see how ridiculous this has been for me for almost half a year. I love this computer when it’s working, but what’s the point of having a nice rig if it’s crashing multiple times a day or BSODing to the point it doesnt boot? Please help 🤞

This motherboard (verify that I found the correct user manual)?

https://download.msi.com/archive/mnu_exe/mb/MPGZ690CARBONWIFI_FORCEWIFI.pdf

RAM: Reference physically numbered Page 19.

From the page:

"∙ Always insert memory modules in the DIMMA2 slot first "

Refer to the User Manual to double check all other connections and configuration settings. Perhaps it is all due to some error of omission or commission that has been overlooked.

Failing that.

Look in Reliability History for error codes, warnings, and informational events that you can associate with the BSOD's.

Reliability History is user friendly and the time line format may reveal some pattern as well.

Clicking any entry will provide more information that may or may not be helpful.

Event Viewer can be used in much the same manner. Just not as easy to navigate and understand.

Overall, increasing numbers of errors and varying errors suggest (to me anyway), that the PSU may be suspect. Either directly or via a bad connection/connector.

Have you tried swapping in another known working PSU?

And try testing the current PSU.

Not a full test because the PSU is not under load. However, any voltages out of tolerance are an immediate problem flag.

your most recent minidump if dated july 16
do the following:
download microsoft autoruns64 from here:
Autoruns for Windows - Windows Sysinternals | Microsoft Docs
run it as an admin, find the menu option to hide microsoft entries, select it
find these three entries:
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\Lib\SYS\NTIOLib_X64.sys Wed Apr 27 00:47:43 2022
C:\Program Files (x86)\MSI\MSI Center\Lib\NTIOLib_X64.sys Sun Jul 9 18:54:30 2017
SystemRoot\System32\drivers\iocbios2.sys Fri May 13 17:15:44 2022

delete these entries and reboot and retest.

if you continue to have issues you should change the memory dump type to kernel to allow debugging this type of error.
