I built my first pc yesterday and turned it on for the first time today. My worst nightmare became reality when the system didn't boot. When I press the power button, the leds from the mobo and fans light up and spin, ssd light shows, but after 10 seconds it restarts the cycle. I left it at first because I'm aware of letting it restart once or twice, but it never stops. I never get output to the display. I saw on other threads that the beeping sound is supposed to be an indication of what component is problematic, but it never makes a sound.
At first I thought it was the graphics card, because the fans weren't spinning, but after swapping another old GPU in which fan did spin, indicating it has power, I don't suspect the GPU or motherboard. I tried lots of configs with the ram in different positions, used only one stick, etc. I unplugged the power button and turned the pc on with a screw driver for incase it was the switch that was broken, but still got in the loop. I also removed the GPU completely, but no luck. I don't know what else to try. I want to avoid reseating the CPU since I used factory cooler and paste, and don't have paste on hand or the confidence to clean everything up.

I fixed it. I'll just share the solution instead of deleting the post.
Most motherboards I've worked with, has those clips you need to open for the ram on both sides of the sticks, so you apply even pressure. This board however only has them on one side like most modern boards. Thus, I only pressed on that side so the clip kicks in, but that made the ram swivel in the middle and pull out on the other side. I switched the ram up in the case thinking its the position of them, never noticing that the ends are not both in since I can't see properly in the case. When I took the motherboard out for inspection, I saw the ram isn't in. I applied even more pressure on both ends, and they went in perfectly, solving my issue. Quite an embarrassing mistake, but thats how we learn I guess lol.

I think that all DDR4 MBs have clips like that.
