I've been coming up with a draft for my next PC, but not 100% sure how things are with it.
The draft contains the following components:

CPU: i7-13700k
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F
Case: ASUS TUF GT501
CPU Cooler: ASUS ROG STRIX LC 360
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RPG 32GB (2x16) DDR5-5600
Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB (Boot)
Storage 2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB

Will use Windows 11 as the OS.
I plan on using current Corsair RMx850W 80+ Gold as my PSU with my current ASUS TUF 3070ti GPU.

What do you all think and is there anything I could change?
Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks.

EDIT: 2 threads have been merged into 1. My recent thread is listed below.

Sure you need 1TB for a boot drive?

I think you should tell viewers what exactly it is you are after... otherwise, it's pretty much: "Ok, I'm looking at a complete build list, but what am I looking out for in this?"
Fair point, never thought of that. I guess I would just have to be high end gaming, around 1440p with good performance for AAA games.
Also, just need something better than my current setup, which is running an i7-8700k, z370 motherboard and a 3070ti.

Hi all.

I have put together a draft for a new gaming computer and would like to know what people think about it.

Approximate Purchase Date: Within the next 2 weeks minimum.

Budget Range: 3500 NZD.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Mostly gaming or watching movies/tv series/anime.

Are you buying a monitor: No, already have a new monitor.

Parts to Upgrade: CPU, Motherboard, RAM, AIO Cooler, Case and Storage

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 11
Please note that if you're using an OEM license of Windows, you will need a new one when buying a new motherboard.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
Computer Lounge

Location: New Zealand

Parts Preferences: ASUS and Corsair

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire: No

Your Monitor Resolution: 2560x1440

Additional Comments:

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading:
Current PC feels outdated, need something new

The draft I have put together contains the following components:

Case: ASUS TUF GT501
Motherboard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F
Storage: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB (Boot drive)
Storage 2: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 2TB
AIO Cooler: Corsair H150i Elite Capellex
RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16) DDR5-5600
CPU: i7-13700K

If there is anything that doesn't seem right or something I could change, I will take into consideration.
Thank you all.

You can save a significant amount of money with this MSI board in the link which should be hitting the shelves in NZ any day now. And if you don't require integrated graphics then look at the 13900KF to save even more money.

Haven't seen any of the other brands for the Z790's yet. They haven't appeared on NZ websites except ASUS mostly. I'll have a look into the other motherboards.
As for the ASUS board, what did you mean by bit of a hose job?
I also don't need integrated graphics, since I do have a graphics card a backup card, guess I could go for the KF instead.

The specs on those boards are pretty much identical yet that Asus board is priced significantly higher. Asus did the same thing with their Z690 boards when they were first released. They priced them higher than the competition while offering the same features. Board cooling, audio codec, SATA ports, etc ...

Well, if thats the case, i'll skip out on the ASUS board and look at others.
