New PC... Driver help?

I recently put together a new PC. It works and I have installed Windows 8.1 on it. How do I install the drivers for my motherboard? Currently my internet on the new PC doesn't work and it keeps on giving me "Ethernet" doesn't have valid IP configuration. I tried to get the drivers from GIgabyte's website but after downloading them I have no clue what I am even supposed to do with them. I really would like to get the computer up and working fast. Help?

in the folder of the driver files you downloaded you should have some kind of install or setup .exe file that will set it up for you. did the mobo come with a disc?

It did come with a disk although I don't have a optical drive and many people say that the drives on the disk are outdated anyways. I tried to install the LAN drivers with setup.exe in the folder but I still don't have any internet and everything is still pretty much the same.

did you download and install JUST the lan drivers from the gigabyte site?
or did you install the AMD chipset drivers also?
did you do a reboot after you installed?

I have installed everything (at least I should have because I clicked everything with a setup) but I still have no internet. It still gives me "Ethernet" doesn't have valid IP configuration.
