New PC Dropped!

So today the kids dropped my new PC that i built one week ago nothing happened inside but only one of the legs on the case broke off but i fixed it i was very impressed with my case because it hit the floor hard. all i want to know am i going to have any hardware failure in the long run.

If it's still working? Nope.

Only thing to check would be the PCIe connection on your graphics card; make sure there's no plastic fatigue. Perhaps check the screws everywhere to make sure they weren't knocked loose.

Need to check the CPU cooler mounts too. The Intel mounting system is really bad and breaks easily. Might have a corner loose

Any HDD's may have been damaged, they are quite susceptible to physical shock. Atleast the machine wasnt running when it was dropped.

Ahh, good point. I'm so used to aftermarket coolers I forgot how Intel is connecting their stock coolers now.

Wouldn't hard drive damage be immediately apparent when the computer was turned on? The fact that the computer works fine still made me figure the hdds were safe.

HDDs should be good for a substantial shocks...circa 30G when operating and a whopping 300G when not operating. So I wouldn't worry about them. I'd just check the CPU mount.
