Hello everyone,

I recently bought a newly build custom PC with these components:

Windows 8.1 64 Bit
Intel Core i5 4690
Gainward GTX-960 2GB OC
Asus Z97-K
Patriot Signature 8GB Single DDR3-1600
Antec VP-600P PSU
Seagate 1TB SATA3 7200RPM 64MB HDD
Kingston HyperX Fury 120GB SATA3 SSD
Fractal Design Core 2500 Case

I've had the PC for 2 days and basically installed all the drivers for the motherboard and graphics card as well as all windows updates and a few games.

However, I've been experiencing two problems with the PC already.

Firstly, I'm getting two popup messages which say "USB device unplugged/USB device not recognised." These messages continually popup every few seconds and are incredibly annoying.

Secondly, the computer is crashing whilst I'm in-game on Counter Strike: Global Offensive with BSODs which contain varying messages such as "Memory_management" and and just freezing and restarting. The computer does not crash during general usage.

Please help me.
Thanks.

I did not build the PC myself, I bought it from MSY.

are you sure the ram is supported by your motherboard?
have had simular problems with incompatible ram.
check if your ram is in the supported memory list.
if it is not, it could well be the problem.

The ram and motherboard were not selected by me, they were the two parts which I did not customise. http://www.msy.com.au/SYSTEMS/INTELAMD-Pro3.pdf
The rest of the system, including the case, were chosen by me.
I don't think they would use those parts if they were not compatible, but what do you think?

hmm, i cant see the specific ram in the sheet.
can you give the exactly model of your ram?

only partiot ram in qvl is these two
PATRIOT PGD316G1600ELK(XMP) 32GB(8GBx4) DS - - 9-9-9-24 1.65V
PATRIOT PV332G160C9QK 8GB DS - - - 1.5V
and you have a different one...

do you have different ram you can test with?

you should also first try to reseat your ram, meaning take them out, blow in the slot and then put them back in, not likely to do any good but sometimes it is silly things like that what helps.

If you bought the computer from MSY then you should return it to the store and tell them what's happening. If they charge you for any maintenance or fixes, refuse to and just get a refund for your purchase. It'll be a better idea to 1. Build your own PC 2. Buy one elsewhere but MSY, they have terrible service but amazing prices.

Oh and a suggestion. DO NOT update your motherboard BIOS version unless you need to for CPU support or other, it can cause problems.
