So I just bought a new PC for a media centre. Barebones; i3, Asus h110m-k, no case, no gpu. When I boot the CPU fan turns on and the mother board lights up but I get no video. Any peripherals I plug in don't receive any power either.

Anyone know how I could resolve this?

Solution
It would need a BIOS update for a Kaby Lake

If the last 4 numbers on the sticker on the mobo arent 3016 thats why

It needs this BIOS for that CPU

Core i3-7100 (3.9GHz, 2C, HT, L3:4M, Intel HD 600 series, 51W, rev.S0) ALL 3016

This is the latest BIOS

Only way you're going fix it. Buy/borrow a Skylake CPU those 4 numbers support.

Or take it to a shop and ask them to flash it with a Skylake CPU first

The supported CPU list is here
I would recommend checking all the connections, specially the cable that goes top left of the motherboard from the psu (it is the one that brings power to cpu).

Yes everything is plugged in correctly, 24pin and 4pin to the mobo and CPU fan.

If that is the case maybe try connecting to another monitor or even a tv and see if you can get an output there.

I have tried on multiple TVs with a brand new cable.

Nothing else come to my mind, I think you sould contact where you bought your pc from.

That´s 7th gen CPU and therfore the BIOS of the H110 motherboard has to be updated, before the I3-7100 will be installed. To accomplish this, the BIOS has to be updated with a skylake 6th gen CPU, e.g. Celeron G3900 or the shop could do it for you.

You may also download the bios update file from another computer to a usb and then update your bios using that usb. Update procedure changes depending on your motherboard so googleing it or looking at the manual may help with that.
