[SOLVED] New PC for 500$ (max $600)

I'm a newbie with building PCs, but now it's the time to finally do it.
My budget is 500 $ (can up to 600 max). PC is not for gaming, but sometimes I want to play games like CS:GO, Overwatch, Witcher, etc.

I'm only sure about 16 GB RAM and SSD, but what kind of... And other components.
Any suggestions? Thanks!

I am fairly sure you could pull off a budget system at just over $500. Probably would be looking at a Pentium/Celeron or Athlon build with the least expensive other components you can cobble. This would be on an iGPU and gaming would likely be (mostly) out of the question.

I would suggest looking around on your local sites, FB Marketplace, CL, Let Go, etc. and see if you couldn't find an older system for sale within budget. Your biggest issue with any direction you chose is the current GPU pricing. Even older items are often selling for more than their original MSRP.

Suggested would be to price something like an i3 10100, cheap B or H chipset motherboard. Corsair value RAM, perhaps some Ripjaws, etc.. Might consider looking at a case with an included PSU. Not a great idea for long term but get something up and running. If you happen to have a MicroCenter nearby, they offer a deal on compatible CPU/mobo for $20 off the combo AND offer really competitive pricing on CPU.

Nice list aside one of two items that I would call out. DO NOT utilize a WD Green as a primary drive. Otherwise, I would commend on exceptional use of funds for performance.

I'd agree . . @helper800 put together an excellent system for price/performance. I'm not sure I'm thrilled with the WD Green, but it does keep things within budget.

It's $15 more, and thus puts you over the $600 mark, but the WD Blue is something that I'd be notably more comfortable with. It's a good price for a 1TB WD Blue.

I did what I could with 600 with current pricing, was either slow RAM for the 5600g or that SSD.

I guess this would be the next best option for 600 or less right now.

Interestingly, that's exactly what I was thinking... Go with the Blue, but knock it down to 500GB rather than 1TB...

I admit to being hesitant to suggest it, as I was concerned as to whether it would meet OP's storage needs.

Or, start with the 500GB, then add another drive,if needed, as future finding allows for
