Approximate Purchase Date: in a month? Not really sure.
Budget Range: I'm from Poland so I have no idea what the prices are in other countries. My guess would be around 1000$ but you should treat that as a ballpark anyway rather than a fixed limit.
System Usage from Most to Least Important: That's my private PC and I'll use it for a little of everything: office/internet/media stuff, programming (including 3D graphics programming), 3D modelling (3dx Max etc...), games, twitch streaming, photoshop and whatever else I can think of.
Are you buying a monitor: No, I'm asking for an advice concerning the PC only.
Do you need to buy OS: No, just hardware.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: N/A, I think. I'm gonna be buying in some polish shop(s) anyway, I just need the makes and models of the components.
Location: City, State/Region, Country - Poland
Parts Preferences: no preferences
Overclocking: No
SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: I plan to use 2 full hd (1920x1080) monitors.

Additional Comments: This part is gonna be long. 😛 It might be more than you need to suggest a setup for me but I just want to give you all the details that are relevant.

So my current PC is starting to malfunction and I need to get a new one (if not now then in some future 😛). I do want to keep a few parts however. Namely:
- HDD Samsung SpinPoint F1 HD103UJ 1 TB
- HDD Seagate Barracuda 3TB (ST3000DM001)
- GPU Asus GTX750-PHOC-1GD5
- power supply OCZ Fatal1ty 550W (but only under the condition that it's enough for the new components!)
- case Tracer Premium Case, no idea what the model is but it's this one: click
- DVD drive (something on SATA)
- CPU cooler Scythe ninja 2, but it's old and dusted - is it ok for the new PC?

I bought the GPU recently and it has a 5 year warranty so I plan to use it for that time. I know it's not a high-end card but I basically only play League of Legends and I don't need high performance in games. If other games run on it that's great, if not I don't care. I want to keep the HDDs and the DVD drive because I don't think they need an upgrade (but correct me if I'm wrong). As for the case, I want it to help cool all the components so maybe I'm gonna need a new one.

However, if you think I shouldn't keep some of the aforementioned parts please say so (and say why).

Price: as I said it's just a ballpark, in other words I don't want something cheap and crappy but I also don't want the most expensive stuff. I need a good performance equipment with a good quality/price ratio. Also keeping some of the old parts should significantly lower the overall price.

Performance: I want a good hardware that can face all challenges, run smoothly and without hiccoughs. I'm ok to pay much for quality, just don't need the enthusiast super-expensive stuff. I'd also like the PC to remain strong/good for a few years (if possible). I'm probably gonna need an SSD disk for the OS (256 GB I guess as I'm gonna install a lot of things on it).

Reliability: that might be even more important that the performance. I'd like the PC to work well and without issues (like something breaking/overheating) for at least a few years. Also once I install the OS I don't really every reinstall it so it should manage to work well even after a few years (with lots of programs installed during that time).

Overheating: an issue connected to the previous one. Recently I've had problems with both my PC's and laptop's GPUs overheating (to the point of breaking) and I'd really like to avoid that issue in the future. So I need good cooling for the individual components as well as the whole PC (cooling case?). Assume I'm gonna be playing games a few hours every day (so the GPU should be able to handle it). Silent work of the computer is a bonus but not a priority. Also, reliability and overheating are one of the reasons I don't plan to do any OC.

PS. I didn't check the "Request solutions to this Question (not a discussion)" option as I welcome both concrete solutions/setups as well as discussions/advice.

here is what i would do:

I'd sell that gtx750 gpu for best possible price i could get.
i'd sell cpu cooler ninja 2( incompatible)

-buy a gtx 970 gigabytewf3 ( cheapest i think)
- buy motherboard z97-k
- buy cpu i5-4690k
- buy 8gb ram ( you could look at 16gb if you want to do intensive video editing)
- buy cpu cooler for lga 1150 ( maybe scythe mugen max ?)
- build the pc, install win8.1

- enjoy the beast pc for years , enjoy gaming on high-ultra , and you are maybe even still inside the 1000$ range :)

edit: i've just checked the video about your case, but i can't decide if the parts will fit, so before you purchase anything make sure to check the dimensions and that they will fit into your case!

Thank you, for your answer, sz0ty0l4. A few things:
- I like the mobo but it's weird that it has this "Crystal Sound" thing and yet it doesn't support 5.1 (or higher) system. 😛
- Why would I change my GPU if I don't need "gaming on high-ultra" (not to mention I'd be throwing money away)? I plan to just change my GPU after 5 years, wouldn't that be ok?
- Why i5 and not i7? Not saying i5 is bad but I'd like to hear some arguments for it.
- About the case - I'm just not sure the one I have provides proper cooling. Any good cooling cases you can recommend?
- What about PSU? Would mine suffice (it has a few years already 😛)?
- What about SSD?
- Not really to the point but - windows 8.x sucks. 😛

windows 8.1 is like 30% faster in any case than win7, and like 20% more stable, so no it doesn't suck in my opinion.

your psu would be ok if you go with these parts. maxwell has a rly low tdp something like 150 , aswell as cpu it's like 85 or something.

your gpu is already outdated by 2-3 years.. its 1gb vram card :/
i suggested the 970, because i think if you spend 1000$on a pc it should be future proof for at least 2-3 years.
a lot of new applications use gpu acceleration for example adobe premier pro cc.
i've read that you don't play aaa games, ofc you don't do with the 750 😀 trust me if you spend so much money on a pc and you don't care about video card you will be disapointed. once you try new aaa games you will play them and you will be very happy that you bought a good graphics card. i think its worth to invest in it.

about cpu: i suggested the i5 because of 1000$ limit, but if you are into hard multi tasking, get the i7-4770k or i7 4790k or the not k versions. those will be more powerful in multithreading, and even more powerful in single core performance.

about SSD: if you have a lot of money what you can burn, go for it, otherwise its not worth. it only shorten loading times, and boot time.
if you want a really powerful future proof machine and you can burn money aswell out of window go like this:
120gb ssd samsung try to go for some quality one.
i7-4770k ( or 4790k)
z97-k or -a
gtx 970
your psu is ok
case hmm... you like coolermaster? silencio 650 is a nice case it is sound- proof and has good cooling , but it's big.

Thx, sz0ty0l4. Any specific RAM I should get? At least what parameters should I be looking for?

As for the case - I don't mind big, I don't need it to be soundproof either. I just want it to be really good with cooling/airflow.

Also, I'd like to hear other people's opinions, even if it's "I agree 100% with sz0ty0l4" kind of opinion.

yeah you should ask other ppl aswell. its important to have more than 1 opinions. btw you should get a 2x 4gb or 2x 8gb ram kit because dual channel mode. with 1600mhz cl9 at least or 1866mhz cl10 for example
