Hello, I'm starting to think about replacing my old HP prebuilt tower with an i7 4790 and GTX 960. I'm not in a rush to buy immediately since the system still serves me pretty well but it is noticeably getting slower while video editing in Premiere and After Effects.

I've never built my own PC before. It's been a goal of mine to do it but I'm a little intimidated by it. If you have any good "first-timer" mid-size case recommendations that are easy to build into that would be great.

Also, I'm open to any good prebuilt options.

Approximate Purchase Date: I'm waiting to see if my state has a sale tax holiday (usually in August) or possibly around Black Friday/Cyber Monday this year. So I'm not buying for a while, just trying to figure out my options.

Budget Range: Under $2,000 preferably.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: I'm a professional video editor using Premiere Pro & After Effects. I don't really game much but when I do it's usually simulation games like Planet Coaster or Cities Skylines.

Are you buying a monitor: Eventually I plan to upgrade to a dual 4k monitor setup. Right now I have Dual 1080p monitors.

Parts to Upgrade:
Everything case and all.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes, Windows 11 Home

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy

Location: Massachusetts, USA

Parts Preferences: I can't decide between Intel or AMD Ryzen. I appreciate any advice you can give about which offers the best value/performance ratio or which one works best with Adobe.

I know I want an Nvidia GPU for the CUDA cores. I was looking at a 3070 or 3070ti (maybe a 3080 if the budget can handle it.

I also want at least a 512gb NVMe SSD as a boot drive and at least a 2 TB SATA drive for storage

Definietly 32gb of DDR4 ram (DDR5 if possible)

Overclocking: Maybe

SLI or Crossfire: Maybe

Your Monitor Resolution: Currently dual 1080p monitors hooked up through HDMI. Planning to upgrade to dual 4k monitors at some point.
Additional Comments: (e.g.: Need to have a window and lots of bling, I would like a quiet PC. Please also list specific software or games you're using)

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: Right now I have an old outdated HP prebuild with an old i7 4790 and GTX 960.
