New PC freezes on the Motherboard splash screen BUT runs fine if I restart it. Happens every Morning!!

I built this PC myself last week. I'm a novice and this was my first build but I feel I did everything correct so It makes me concerned there is a piece of hardware at fault.

Each morning I switch on my PC and it will begin to boot up but when it reaches the motherboard splash screen, it freezes and goes no further. The keyboard is unresponsive so I cannot press any of the F-Keys. This happens every time. BUT, If I simply reboot it fixes itself! So every morning I boot it up, i wait for it to freeze at the splash screen, restart it, and it runs normally.
...It's almost acting like a car on a cold winters morning; unwilling to start on the first go.
As soon as I see Windows starting I know it's going to work.

What part of my PC would cause a bad boot but run fine on a second launch? It's so strange. Everyone I've asked has no idea what is causing it. :(

I've tried resetting the CMOS and putting in a fresh battery.
I've tried unplugging the peripherals - the USB connections, 1 of the monitors, ethernet etc.
And I've also tried resitting the RAM sticks.

This issue is frustrating the hell out of me and I'd greatly appreciate any help. Thanks.

Solution
Upgrading or flashing the BIOS most likely wouldn't affect that, and the problem is most people that try to flash their BIOS end up bricking their motherboard because they don't do it properly. Honestly if you want to give it a try, you can, but I'd just RMA it and be done with it.

Why do you think it's the motherboard and CPU and not any other part?
If I knew for sure it was those parts I'd certainly try to return them. I bought them about 10 days ago through Amazon so I don't know how willing the seller would be to take them back..

Because RAM, GPU, and PSU aren't going to cause your entire system to hang on a boot and then be fine from a restart. That's CPU chip errors or motherboard chip errors.

The GPU displays graphics, if it stopped working properly you wouldn't get that clean run after the restart, you'd have artifacts, shut downs, and BSOD's. If it was your PSU then you would have power drops or boot loops. If it was RAM, you'd have failure to load into UEFI BIOS, or system shut downs without boot.

Thanks for explaining, that makes sense.

I've been tinkering with the PC and I've noticed it actually fails to boot every SECOND launch.
If I cold boot it, it hangs. Switch it off. Cold boot it a second time, Voila!
I tried this several times and it seemed like the 'first' launch always failed and the 'second' launch always worked.

Do you think it is worth upgrading/flashing the BIOS? Or are you convinced it's faulty hardware?
