Hey there, long story short I had an issue where my pc wouldn't work. I later found out the issue was my cpu after getting a new motherboard, gpu and psu. Anyways I have this issue where my pc freezes at windows 10 install. Someone else had this issue but I have a NZXT motherboard so things are obviously different.

My testing specs
3000g
nzxt b550 n7
32gb of 3600mhz ram
gt 710

Old specs:
3700x (100% not working)
1070ti (gets no output when paired with my b550 n7)
b550 a pro motherboard (working)

What are you using to install Windows? Something you bought? Something you made? What is your method?

Full details if possible.

Also more details on your motherboard would help.

Do you have only ONE hard drive connected during the install attempt?

Hi lafong. Thanks for responding. I am using my usb drive with windows 10 iso.

When ever i get to the boot screen to boot into my windows 10 iso it crashes and or black screens.

Im only using my ssd during this install and ill connect my hdd later.

Some issues i need to fix:

some of the usb ports arent working on my motherboard

both of my gpus arent working on this motherboard, im using igpu

What is the pedigree of your "Windows 10 iso"?

Has that particular USB flash drive EVER successfully installed Windows 10 onto any motherboard?

Are you willing or able to make a new one?

The NZXT board you are using has known USB port issues?

Have you tried using all of the various ports for the USB installer?

If using integrated graphics, have you looked in BIOS regarding enabling or disabling that capability?

Disconnect all devices that are irrelevant to a Win 10 install.

Thank you for the response this time.

1. this usb flash drive has installed windows 10 on my old motherboard.

Im not willing to make a new one because i already did last night and it somehow took my 2 hours.

Ive never heard of usb issues on this motherboard.

I have tried other ports and i did get my usb to read but it just froze when i tried to click on the install it froze

i havent seen any bios enable/disble switch with the capability

In post 3, you said:

"some of the usb ports arent working on my motherboard".

In post 5, you say:

"Ive never heard of usb issues on this motherboard."

So, I'm confused.

The fact that it took you 2 hours to make a USB installer tells me that something may be wrong with it.

Details needed on how and where you attempted to make that installer yesterday.

Ive never heard from any reviewers that the usb ports on this motherboard couldnt work. Although some arent working. My usb flash drive might be broken. Its using fat32 and everything it should be so i dont see why it wouldnt work

You still have not said how you made the installer ISO yesterday.

If you are unwilling to make a new one, possibly using a new USB stick, you may be dead in the water.

Your port issues may have affected whether or not your USB installer was properly made. Maybe the installer is useless.

Or maybe the installer is OK, but your shaky ports are preventing it from doing a proper new install.

Or maybe the USB stick itself is bogus and you must use a new stick regardless.

You have to experiment or live with the current situation.

Ok so i tried the installer on my laptop which worked but I stopped it from redownloading windows 10 on here. The ports that do work still freeze up when i try to install windows.
