Ok, this is my first pc build, and it's been about 7 days. It has been, however, freezing on an almost daily basis. No BSOD, everything just stops, and it seems a bit random.

I have a hunch that it may be the memory that is causing the freezes.

The memory specs list timings at 9-9-9-24 and a frequency of 1600.
CPU-Z shows 11-11-11-28 and a frequency of 802.4mhz

Then again, I'm not sure if I'm reading this right as I am a newbie.

What do you guys think the problem is?

Also, memtest showed no problems.

Cpuz is displaying the timings and frequency accurately. Cpuz only monitors memory in single modules whereas the bios when in pairs will utilize dual channel with a frequency of 1600. Check the bios to clarify.

While you're there in the bios, manually set the memory timings as specified and see how you go.
