Hello,

Looking into building a new PC. After some research I came up with this:

Case: CORSAIR OBSIDIAN SERIES™ 750D FULL TOWER CASE
Processor: (CPU) Intel® Core™i7 Quad Core Processor i7-4770k (3.5GHz) 8MB Cache
Motherboard: ASUS® MAXIMUS VII GENE: RoG, PCI-e 3.0, SATA 3.0, USB3.0
RAM: 8GB KINGSTON HYPER-X BEAST DUAL-DDR3 2133MHz X.M.P (1 x 8GB)
Graphics Card: 3GB NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 780 Ti
1st Hard Disk: 500GB Samsung 840 EVO SSD, SATA 6Gb/s (upto 540MB/sR | 520MB/sW)
2nd Hard Disk: 1TB WD CAVIAR BLACK WD1003FZEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
Power Supply: CORSAIR 750W RM SERIES™ MODULAR 80 PLUS® GOLD, ULTRA QUIET
Processor Cooling: Corsair H100i Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler

I would like some opinions, is it bad? Good? Future proof? Any improvements?

Also, I have the ASUS® MAXIMUS VII Ranger, as an option, although not sure the difference between this and the Gene version.

A 6 year old pc, with Intel Core 2 quad 2.50GHz, 8GB ram DDR2 and ATI Radeon HD 5670 1GB GDDR5 ICEQ. During this time, I did upgrade the ram from 4 to 8 and the graphics card from 512 to 1GB. Tried to upgrade the HDD few weeks ago, as is starting to make weird noise, but then found out there is no Sata 3 ports on my motherboard.
