Hey guys, I have a really weird issue I am currently building my second pc and I decided to take out some parts from my old pc. The items that I took was the cpu, which is a i7-4790K, I also took out some ram not all of it, and finally I took out my old hard drive and replaced it with a new one. So the pc has all the components to work properly so when I was done re-building the pc I turned it on and the fans were spinning and lights went on, however nothing appeared on my monitor and I never heard a beep from my computer. Also, I also was trying to install a windows 8 OS (got windows 8 by accident hoping to be able to get the free upgrade to 10). and I don't know how to install it if someone can link a video or something.

Thank you any help is appreciated

Solution
Let's try to reset the RAM first. Unplug the PC and remove them all and re-install. If that fails, try one stick at a time. What kind of monitor do you have and what connection is between it and the PC (HDMI/DVI, etc). If possible remove the GPU and try the onboard video from the mobo's HDMI port. Try the card in a different slot. If none of this helps, reset the BIOS (unplug PC from outlet then pop out little round battery, wait a minute and try to power on again).

The PC won't beep because it probably doesn't have a buzzer on the motherboard (many boards no longer have one). It may have a header for one though that requires a separate attachment.

Is it Win 8 or 8.1? Make sure it's a 64 bit or else you can't use all the...

Is it Win 8 or 8.1? Make sure it's a 64 bit or else you can't use all the RAM. To upgrade from 8.0 to 10 you have to go through 8.1 (8> upgrade to 8.1 via store after doing all updates, then register for 10) since MS doesn't support direct upgrade from 8.0 to 10. To install, put disk in drive, press F8 at bootup to get boot menu if it doesn't load automatically (it should load automatically if the new drive is blank). Follow prompts during install, enter key when prompted, let it format HD and press next to install. The install process then takes care of itself, and after a couple of automatic re-boots you'll get to the account setup (enter username, password and it will load the desktop the first time). Now load the motherboard and video card drivers, do whatever updates are needed and get going.

The monitor is connected by HDMI its a LG 28 inch monitor I know for a fact that the motherboard has a buzzer since I used to use it with only two different parts a different cpu and a different hard drive and a little less ram. Also I have the 64 but version of windows 8.1.

Finally I reset the bios and the pc turns on and everything however the screen is basically frozen in the bios settings every time I turn on a pc and The keyboard and mouse are too since hte num lock light automatically turns on and I can't turn it off.

I have and The computer is booting up but it automatically goes to the bios settings and its frozen I can;t even turn off the num lock light on my key bpard which I have owned for a year.
