new pc not going into bios

I built a pc for the first time, and when i turn it on, everything seems to be working. LEDs turn on, fans spin, and keyboard and mouse leds turn on as well. however, when I turn on the monitor, it goes through and checks the inputs, finds the input, then goes blank. It doesn't go to bios. How do I fix this?

Parts List:
CPU- intel i5 8600k
CPU cooler- Hyper 212 evo
mobo- gigabyte z370 aorus 5
ram- crucial ballistix sport LT 8gb
Storage- Crucial MX300 525GB M.2 2280 SSD
GPU- EVGA gtx 1070 sc black edition (hasn't arrived yet)
PSU- Corsair RMx 650w
