New PC not posting (already read stickies)

So, when I click the power button on the PC, everything thing seems to turn on correctly. Soon after this, the monitor says it detects no input but seems to notice a graphics card is present. After waiting around a minute to check for any activity, it whole systems shut off. (Note that I hear no beeps)

You're probably missing a screw or a standoff or something. Something inside the case is shorting out the board. Take the motherboard out of the case and do a test boot outside of the case. If it works then something inside is shorting it.

again more than likely you're probably just missing a screw or a standoff.

Looks like that was the problem! I had one of the screws missing! Thanks!
