HI, I am planning to build a new pc in the near future and just came to the realization that a new mb means new os. I had the free upgrade to windows 10 from windows 7, and after some research i found out i have a digital license. Since my os is downloaded to my hdd should i be able to reinstall my copy of windows 10 to the new pc. Will my digital license carry over with the hdd? Thanks in advance

Probably not transferable , but I would give it a try , before you buy.

Setup a Microsoft Account and link your current PC to it , then backup whatever you want to save and perform a clean install on your new setup and activate it with your Microsoft account from within windows. Skip the key entry during setup and activate it from within windows with the registered Microsoft Account.

Create a USB installer here ^

Probably.
You have nothing to lose by trying.

If it works, great.
If it fails, you are in the same place as if you never tried it.
