So recently, my computer has not been able to keep up with the games I like to play, specifically a game called Rust. I am looking to upgrade my computer for a performance boost

MB: m5a99x EVO r2.0

CPU: AMD 8350 Eight-core

RAM: 8GB DDR3 1600

GPU: GTX 1060

PSU: XTR 650W

What would you recommend for a flawless gaming experience?

I'm a working college student so I'm trying to spend as little as possible. I really shouldn't be trying to upgrade my computer.

I would probably spend around $500 tops, is that enough for a lasting build?

Also, what areas does my computer lack? How does it stand vs other computers right now (mid end, low end)? My GPU was my most recent upgrade and I have heard that it is not performing at its full potential due to other parts of my computer being dated.

Thanks ! :)

Basically, you can still use your GPU and PSU. I don't know if you have an SSD so I threw one in. If you do, you can pick a better mobo or a better CPU.

The cheapest I can find my current MB (M5A99X EVO R2.0) is $100, are you sure thats not worth keeping over the $65 one you referred? Also forgot to mention that I do have a 1TB SSD.
