so im sure this is probably a common/redundant/repeated post but im relatively new to pc gaming and trying to get my aim more perfect. so i use a razer deathadder and use the middle or default setting for dpi and i actually love it, i am alot more accurate then i thought id be in games like cs and pubg, my only thought or complaint is that my aim is very jumpy, and even when i try to move it smoothly it tends to jump from point to point. im just wondering if theres something im missing? i have decent aim but would prefer it to be smoother i guess. thanks for any help

Each mouse will have it's own set of DPI defaults. They may differ from moue to another.

Essentially, lower DPI gives better more accurate aiming, at the expense of having to move the mouse more to cover on screen distances when you pan left/right, up/down. Higher DPI being less accurate, but quicker to move and focus on a target, but the expense being it's more sensitive, so really accurate aiming is more difficult.

Each person will have a different DPI they like. In the middle isn't a bad choice at all. Pro gamers seem to game with low DPI at about 400. I've mine set at 1000 (I'm just a casual gamer). But 1000 suits me. You can set lower DPI and re-train to get used to it. It takes about 2 days of gaming to retrain the muscle memory and get used to the slower panning. But can be worth it for first person shooters.
