Hey all, so I got a new PC built in early June (I picked out the parts and paid the shop to assemble). However I get an annoying problem sometimes when I try to wake up my PC from sleep. The lights and fan will turn on for a couple of seconds, then suddenly they go dark/stop and then the whole system reboots. As you can see from the event viewer log below (filtered by critical), the error, event 41 kernel power, happen once every few days on average. (I would estimate about once every 10 wake from sleep or so): https://imgur.com/a/uVsAItL
It doesn't appear to follow any pattern on why they occur. 🙁
Was wondering if anyone has any ideas on why it might occur, my first suspicion is the PSU, but I have read others say it could also be the mobo? Or even that some mobo PSU combos cannot support all power states like S3 etc.
My build is as follows:
Intel i7-13700K
ASUS ROG STRIX Z790-F
G SKILL TRIDENT Z5 RGB 6000MHz 16GB x 2
WD BLACK SN850X 2TB
ASUS 4070TI TUF GAMING
BE QUIET! DARK ROCK PRO 4 250W COOLER
SILVERSTONE HELA 850W 80+ PLATINUM PCIe5.0 FULL MODULAR PSU
ARCTIC P12-120MM FAN
