As for BTX, in 2005 and beyond. I'm really waiting for that one :)
R420, should be by the end of this year. So for the mobos with pci-ex.

No clue on intel i64. Who needs that when you can get Opteron and Athlon64
for less than what prescott costs.

2005? I keep reading that all of this stuff should be available this
summer sometime. That's 2004.

Well, Intel haven't met their estimated release date but I'm expecting
to see BTX before 2005.

Summary
The BTX specification, reference designs, and design collateral offer
developers a building block approach for using components in systems
from 6 liters in volume up to standard desktop tower sizes, and across
a range of new, exciting system profiles. A number of ingredient
suppliers and system integrators have collaborated with Intel for the
launch of this new form factor, and design collateral, available in
April, 2004, will provide information that will extend the
availability and innovation typically expected in desktop systems.

Intel have been making 64bit CPU's for years, except theyre aimed at
servers (Xeons) and 'Workstations' (Itanium)

I think buying version 1.0 of anything
is a bit of a gamble ie; SATA 1.0 - already eclipsed
after mega problems in less than a year - moore's law.
