So I built my first PC today and it actually went really well, the PC turned on after one small fix (forgot to plug in HDD) and has been fine. However, when one of my games wouldn't open I decided to restart my PC and it took about 10/15 minutes to turn off and restart. Could I have installed something wrong with my build? I have considered moving Windows from my HHD to SSD because apparently that'll make things faster but I never had this issues before with my old PC. And if I do move Windows to my SSD, how in the heck do I do that? Do I need a certain program or?

Do you have a detailed list of what you have specifically in your build?
Yeah my parts are:
ryzen 7 3700x and wraith prism cooler
gigabtye gaming x570mobo
corsair vengeance ram 2x8gb
2 ssds 1tb each
1tb hdd
750w corsair psu

This is off the top of my head, let me know if I missed anything

Whats your GPU? ALso Check BIOS to see what is booting up first. Are one of you SSD drives an NVMe? or they both internal/external?

gpu is 2070s, my ssds are both external - where in bios do I see what is booting first? Sorry I am new to all this
Right in the MIddle of your BIOS (if youre in easy mode) should be the Storage devices you have connected. BIOS <-- click this for reference. What you are looking for is the HDD to be at the top, as you say that is where your OS is. Also its pretty easy to swap the OS to the SSD i will post that now. https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/installing-ssd.3592310/#post-21680580 Read Post #7 that will tell you how to do it.

sounds good, i am around mostly all day, so if you have more questions or get stuck on stuff i am here to help
Sorry have only got around to this now. So I’m looking to change my boot options? This is what I’m seeing in bios, do I need to change this boot option #1 to a different drive?

The two Samsung ones are my ssds, not sure what the p4 or windows boot manager which is that it’s on are. (I’ve never been into bios properly so this all means nothing to me, sorry if I’m asking dumb questions haha)

well you need to make sure where it is. YOu need to start your computer up, however long it takes then go into search and type in this --> create and format hard disk partitions. then when it opens expand it and take a picture so i can see what is what in there please and thank you
