I just built a new PC and everything goes fine until I install the Nvidia display drivers. I tested my gpu in another computer and it works fine and got a new motherboard, as well as tested other ram. I also tried another gpu in my computer and the same thing happened again. The computer simply freezes and no longer will take input. I have tried older versions of the drivers too and still nothing. Any help would be appreciated.

Solution
Have you tried a clean installation of Windows

Deleting all partitions to remove everything that's on the current drives?

And then, let Windows handle all driver updates, except for the GPU ones. Install no other software.

The OS is Windows 10 64 bit and you are using the Win 10 64-bit drivers from the Geforce website(?).

If that doesn't work, I would be tempted to suggest a different power supply. And I'm not of the "blame the PSU first!" school of thought but you've ruled out the GPU and you've ruled out the motherboard, and apparently the RAM, and if a clean Win 10 install doesn't fix it that rules out software and drivers, so it could be a bad PSU...

It's possible you might get freezes with a faulty PSU. Apparently if the voltage jumps.

And you've ruled out almost everything else.

If you have an obliging friend who let you test the GPU in their system, perhaps they'd loan you the PSU?
