Guys i am calling on everyone and anyone here to help me figure out whats going on with my new PC. i upgraded to an RTX 2080 SUPER with I9-9900k. Card is good, installation is done correctly of the new parts and ive tested a few games like MW, Halo MCC and fallout 76 without issue. Red dead redemption 2 causes my PC to completely freeze and i have to hold the power button to turn it off and on.

I have tested the game on low settings and maxed out and it doesnt make a different. 60hz and 144hz doesnt matter either, after i play the game for a little while my entire PC freezes. I cant ctrl, windows key and D to create a new virtual monitor, ctrl alt delete doesnt work, essentially the entire PC locks up and the only solution at that point is to hold the power button to turn off and on. I am calling on anyone to see if i can get some help on this. Does anyone know what might be causing this? What i might be able to do to fix it?

Heres my specs;

RTX 2080 SUPER
I9-9900k
16 gb ram
1tb HDD
500gb SDD
850W PSU.
MSI MPG Z390 GAMING EDGE AC LGA 1151 DDR4 Motherboard
Corsair water cooler.
Multiple coolers inside as well as a fan so my temps are good.
LG 60HZ monitor
MSI Optix 144hz monitor

The median GPU temp while the game is on is 65-72c
The median CPU temp while the game is on is 55-65c

I appreciate you reading this and for any possible suggestions you may have.

I checked the logs and one thing stands out to me (which is clearly in relation to the fact that I have had to hold the power button to turn off and on). 24 different times between 05/19/20 when i upgraded and yesterday there is a critical level incident logged. The source is Kernel-Power, the event ID is 41, the task category is 63. Heres what general says about the above critical error:

"The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly."
