These are components im thinking of getting

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor (£106.98 @ Aria PC)
Motherboard: MSI B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard (£99.95 @ AWD-IT)

CPU:I5-4670k @ 3.40 GHz

GPU: GeForce GTX 770 2GB

Is this a worthwhile upgrade? Only component I don’t have any idea about is the CPU.

Any advice helpful, I’m a PC noob.

Yes, for the most part it's a decent upgrade. I'd suggest a Ryzen 3600 instead of the 2600. The 3600 brings a lot more performance. Other than that, make sure your PSU is up to the task. What brand is it? If it's older than 3 years and isn't a reputable brand, you should consider changing it.

It would be a strong 1080p high hz/1440p 60hz gaming system.

Psu is xfx and getting towards 8 years old now. Thanks for the cpu suggestion I’ll have to look at that option. Thanks.

The price looks a lot better when it’s not breaking 700 mark. About the cpu is it better than the intel version at the similar price point?
