I am helping my friend build a new PC, and it will not turn on.
Specs: CPU: i5-9600K
Motherboard: MSI Z390-A Pro
GPU: Zotac Gaming GTX 1650
PSU: Thermaltake Smart 700W 80+
RAM: 16GB Corsair Vengeance
We initially had a 650W Thermaltake Smart PSU and found out it was dead after we did the Paperclip test and it didn't turn on, so my friend ended up buying a brand new PSU, tested that one, and it worked. After we installed it, the system still would not turn on. We tried reseating the CPU and booting it without RAM and got nothing. We tried reseating the RAM and booting with one stick in at a time and still got nothing. At this point, I'm really not sure what the issue could be, but I'm thinking it might be that the Motherboard was DOA.
Are there any other tests we should try to isolate the issue?
