I bought the i9-12900k MSI , ASUS TUF Gaming Z690-Plus WiFi , G.SKILL Ripjaws S5 Series 32GB bundle that Newegg recently offered and paired them with a Thermaltake Toughpower GF3 1000W power supply, a TEAMGROUP T-Force CARDEA A440 M.2 drive, an AIO cooler, and my older GTX 1060 video card (for now).

Clean install of Windows 11 (off USB flashed with windows creation tool) with a new key.

Everything seems to work great, except, when my computer sleeps, it loses its windows activation. Its easy enough to fix, either I can do the activation troubleshooter, or I can manually re-enter my windows key and it says activation successful, but the next time it sleeps, it loses it again.

A full hard reboot or a power off and it keeps activation, its only when it sleeps.

I tried updating to the latest bios, same result.

Any thoughts?

Win 11 Pro, as bought from Vip-scdkey.com. I am sure its probably greyware.

My first thought was it could be a bad key, but the fact that it doesn't lose activation when powered down, only when sleeping, and the fact that it reactivates just fine with the troubleshooter or by re-entering the key, made me think that the key itself was likely not the problem.

At this point, I would completely re-install (clean install) Windows, with a "fresh" download of the media directly from MS.

I assume you have done all the SFC /scannow and DISM fixes. Have you?

Seems like he did. looks like he needs a new key to rewrite the one on PC

It must check activation servers during sleep?
I don't find any other questions like this apart from op asking on reddit.

not sure just not using sleep would solve it, if it is activation servers. Windows randomly checks them.
