I built this new pc and when I press the power button, nothing happens.
I have:
  • Put in RAM and CPU in their slots properly (CPU pins aren’t broken/fried either)
  • Connected all cables to PSU including CPU and 24 Pin Cable
  • Tested 24 Pin Cable with paper clip (PSU works)
  • Stand-offs are on motherboard
  • PWRSW is in its proper location
  • I pressed the power button on the motherboard and case with the PSU switch on 1
  • GPU is plugged/pressed in properly
  • Cables aren’t in contact with mobo
Specs are:
  • ASUS Prime z390-a
  • i7-8770k
  • ROG STRIX GAMING RTX 2060
  • Dark Rock 4
  • 750 W EVGA G3 Gold
  • Corsair 570x (with fans)
  • G.skill 16 gb (8x2)

Welcome to the forums my friend!

Tested 24 Pin Cable with paper clip (PSU works)
Just be wary that this doesn't indicate the power supply is working properly, just that it can start and maintain some power.

I would review this guide and cover every step (even if you have done them previously) https://forums.tomshardware.com/thr...ng-about-post-boot-no-video-problems.1285536/

Also do you mean absolutely nothing happens at all? No fan twitch, no lights?
