Hi! My friend just built their new computer but can't get it to post and has the DRAM red led light on. All the fans and lights are on, the GPU fans are spinning but can't get it to post.
They have tried re-seating the CPU, GPU, swapped in and out the ram sticks trying both on their own. (they are in slots a2 and b2) and tried CMOS reset. Assuming no hardware is faulty, what other steps are there for them to try? I thought about trying a bios flash but wondered if that should even be necessary with that CPU/motherboard? not sure how to tell whether or not it's required.
PSU - can't recall and friend not available atm but was a decent 800 or 850W gold if I remember correctly
Cpu - RYZEN 7 7800x3d
Motherboard - Gigabyte b650 gaming X AX
Ram - TEAMGROUP D532GB 6000-30 delta RGB
GPU - msi radeon rx 7900
