So I bought new components for a new PC build (only keeping my GPU from my current build). Got my mate to build who has successfully built around 10 PCs so more experienced than me.
Problem is PC wont boot when put together. At first we thought it was the PSU so we tried a different one and still the same problem. Tried it without the GPU , still same problem. Took the CPU out and suddenly we have power and everything looks good (apart from obviously needing a CPU).
So my question is, does this sound like a faulty CPU? Have i missed something else that this could be?
At the moment i'm looking at sending the CPU back as faulty for an exchange and try again, so any other suggestions would be really helpful.
My spec is:

1 x 500GB Samsung 850 EVO Solid State Drive - MZ-75E50
1 x Corsair 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600mhz Vengeance Lpx Memory Module
1 x be quiet! Silent Base 600 Windowed Chassis - Orange

1 x Coolermaster MasterLiquid Pro 240
1 x 600W - Be Quiet! Pure Power 10 CM 80+ Silver Module
